Last school year I bought this book of punch out letters from Walmart for my son's science fair project. The entire book was only $5 and I have been using the letters to make gift tags. I always use kraft paper and pretty ribbons at any time of year to wrap my gifts. I think these little tags make it even more special.
The supplies. . . Colorbok book, ribbon, scissors, hole punch, paint pen, glue stick, tape and assorted ribbons and trim. |
I have several large spools of ribbon and then just use paper and string, ric-rac, and assorted ribbons to pull it all together. |
L is for Lynn, Lorna and Lucy. So what surprises have you found at Walmart lately? |
Love these packages.... for some reason I have not been to Walmart in awhile. Looking at these, I may have to give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty packages and the personal touches you added. I don't have Walmart where I live, so my go-to is Target for things like this.
ReplyDeleteThose are so cheerful, I'd love a gift wrapped present like yours!
ReplyDelete"L" could be Leslie...hint hint!
HOW COOL! This makes me want to go out of my way to Walmart. Target is much closer.
ReplyDeleteThese look like they came out of a Martha Stewart magazine! I've collected beautiful woven ribbons for years, and lately I'm not finding them anymore. Now all I see are those printed acetate ones, which I hate. I think the era of woven ribbons is over. I'm glad I have a stash ferreted away. I especially love the plaid and striped ones, like you are showing. Sometimes I can't bear to give them away on a gift, and I'm always sweeping them up off the floor and stashing them aside after a holidays and birthdays in our house!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to W-M in ages, but I do think your gifts are all kinds of darling! Maybe I should pop in and see what old Sam is selling these days.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty and cheerful, and are sure to warm the heart of the recipient. The gift tags you have shown above are amazing - what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteIkea is also a great place to go for nice wrapping paper - every year they come out with a reversible paper which has plain brown kraft on one side and a rich red on the other side. I love using it for any occasion.
I love a good wrap job. Seriously, sometimes I spend more time and effort on the packaging than the gift. When I worked at PB, I loved it during the holidays. I'd always volunteer to wrap gifts. Where did you get the gigantic spools of ribbon? I'm kind of a ribbon freak too.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely- I love using brown paper as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...my kind of wrapping paper and ribbons

Oh my, this is going to sound bizarre! Can you believe I have the exact two spools of ribbon like yours? I have the brown, pink and blue and green one and the green and brown one. Okay, the thickness is not the same but the pattern is the same. I mean how often you chance upon coincidences like that? And I don't own that many ribbons. It's just those two. It's so funny when you think about it.
ReplyDeleteI think we have similar taste. I bought mine online. How about you?
P/S: Anyway, don't miss my fabulous giveaway! Today is the last day to enter!
